Samuel Adotey Allotey
Samuel Allotey is the Head of Insights at Vodafone Ghana. With over 15 years in marketing research, starting at Research International, he has previously led research and insights teams in Cadbury and MTG – Viasat 1. At Vodafone where he has been since 2010, he leads his team to ensure the customer voice is taking on board at all levels of decision making within the organisation.
Over the last 12+ years Muzzi has built up core experience and capability in linking data and technology capabilities and solutions to business problems, predominantly in the risk and regulatory space within some of SA’s largest Financial Services providers (amongst other organisations). During his tenure at Deloitte, he has worked with many key clients to address a range of issues relating to the use of data and analytics to support and solve for regulatory compliance requirements. Muzzi has through this focused effort built core capability in and now leads the Regulatory Analytics agenda for Risk Advisory - Data Analytics which will support (and lead) the firms efforts around both current and future regulatory focus areas (such as Financial Crime, IFRS, Basel, PoPI, etc.).
Yomi leads Data Analytics for Deloitte in West Africa. In this role, he is responsible for a team of practitioners who work with C-level executives, advising them on a range of topics including growth strategies, marketing, sales, distribution and digital strategies, behavioral economics and customer experience, risk management and analytics. Elize has a proven track record within the Information Technology, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Financial, Banking, Business Electronic Banking, Payroll and Human Resources industries.
Elize has been part of the Standard Bank Group for a combined period of 13 years across different Business Units where she has driven a number of strategic initiatives.
She is currently the Head of Insights and Analytics for Information Management and Customer Insights, a department in Personal and Business Banking (PBB) Rest of Africa (RoA) to drive the Insights and Analytics capability for Head Office and the 17 RoA countries.
|Ato leads the Nigeria Retail and Ghana Nielsen business. His most recent role was Country Manager for Nielsen Ghana, and prior to that he was the Client Business Partner for Unilever and Pepsi for Sub-Sahara Africa. With 16 years work experience, Ato spent over a decade in brand management roles with Procter and Gamble and Sun Products and market research with Millward Brown and IPSOS - all in in the US. Ato attended Oberlin College in Ohio, USA and University of Wisconsin-Madison.|
Thula Ngonyama has been part of the Financial Services industry for a period of more than 10 years in different critical positions, whilst her experience in the corporate sector is short of 20 years. She has had a great exposure to the international markets, having been part of the team that worked on integrating IBTC and Stanbic in Nigeria for Standard Bank group, holding different positions across different business units. Helgard Raubenheimer is an Associate Professor in the Centre for BMI, at the North-West University. He received a Ph.D. in Risk Analysis from the North-West University. His main research interest is in quantitative risk management and includes market and operational risk, credit risk, fixed income portfolio optimisation and model validation.
He lectures enterprise-wide risk management and practical risk management to post graduate students. He has also supervised several master degree students on their industry research projects, is involved in industry directed research projects and is an author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed papers. He has been the recipient of a number of national and global awards.
David Cosgrave is the Middle East and Africa lead for Customer Intelligence at SAS with over 15 years experience in CRM and marketing automation. David brings a wealth of experience at banks, telecommunications providers, retailers and insurers across the region, and has helped some of the largest organizations on the continent with deploying a customer engagement strategy, powered by data and analytics.
As the Solution Manager for Qualitative Risk, Colin’s main objective is to support Risk Management related Sales and Pre-Sales activities in the South Africa and Rest of Africa region. He works closely with Sales, COE’s, Research & Development and Professional Services departments of SAS to support customer requirements, advocacy meetings and demonstrations to expand market influence in the area of credit scoring and risk analytics.
Colin is a Qualitative Risk Management professional with more than 25 years experience in one of the largest banks in South Africa focussing on Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit and Fraud risk. He worked for Absa Bank prior to moving to SAS. Read more
Yigit is SAS’ Information Management & Analytics Practice Manager since April 2014. He has 15 years of domain experience in information management and has been involved in large scale projects dealing with structured and unstructured data across the banking, telco and public sectors respectively.
Yigit is also a board member for various data management organizations and a regular speaker at data management & data governance events. He holds a degree in Computer technology and Programming from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.
William is responsible for the Fraud and Financial Crime (FFC) practice across the Sub-Sahara region for SAS. He provides fraud expertise to the sales, presales and subject matter expert teams across various industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, industrial, mining, telecommunications and government sectors.
William works closely with the international teams in driving SAS’ solutions around FFC thereby ensuring global best practice solutions adapted for local fraud challenges. Read more.
