Jennifer Robinson

While working to help governments maximize the use of their data through data integration, data management and analytics, Jennifer Robinson’s career in software development is complemented by the opportunity to serve as a local elected leader for the last 25 years. Robinson cowrote the book A Practical Guide to Analytics for Government and is featured in the book Smart Cities, Smart Future. In addition to writing articles and blogs about data-driven governing, she speaks with government leaders about emerging technologies and how to adopt them strategically.

Vaibhav Sahgal

Principal and Editorial Strategy Lead, Economist Impact

Vaibhav Sahgal is a trained quantitative economist who has led various consulting engagements across technology, critical infrastructure and finance. His areas of focus include understanding the impact and diffusion of emerging technologies, building the business case for investing in ethical AI, assessing the role and contribution of global innovation networks, and measuring the prevalence of online violence against women. He has also been involved in the development of technology and infrastructure-focused benchmarking tools such as the Safe Cities Index and the Global Infrascope for public-private partnerships in infrastructure. In addition, Sahgal has worked on examining infrastructure financing costs/volume, estimating project construction costs across countries, analyzing sustainable financing trends, and developing a variety of macroeconomic, demographic and consumer outlook studies.

Before joining The Economist Group, Sahgal gained experience in the fields of asset management (sales and trading), corporate and investment banking, and trade and economic competitiveness. He has worked at HSBC, Rothschild (Global Financial Advisory) and the World Bank Group (IBRD), respectively.

Francesco Ricasoli

Data & AI Lead for Health & Public Sector (Italy, CE and Greece), Head of Rome GenAI Studio, Accenture

Francesco Ricasoli leads the Data & AI practice for the public and health sectors at Accenture Italy. With over 10 years' experience in consultancy, he has supported prominent clients, both public and private, in digital transformation initiatives.

At Accenture since 2019, Francesco is responsible for the Data & AI offering within Accenture Strategy and has always been dedicated to Technology Strategy and Advisory.

Since 2023, Francesco leads the GenAI Studio in Rome, where he coordinates research and development activities in the field of AI with clients, start-ups, universities, and technology partners. Francesco graduated in Management and Automation Engineering from Roma TRE University and holds a Master in Business Administration from Luiss Business School.

Sasha Rubel

Head of AI Policy, EMEA, AWS

Sasha leads AWS AI policy in EMEA, and previously led UNESCO’s work on AI and digital innovation for over 12 years, including as representative to the European Commission, G7, OECD, African Union, Economic Commission for Africa, and Sahel. Sasha is involved in international AI governance initiatives as a founding member of the Global Partnership on AI, and member of the OECD AI Network of Experts and Ireland’s AI Advisory Council. She received the Public Diplomacy Innovation Prize from the White House under President Obama, and undertook a PHD on responsible AI and the social impact of new technologies.
