About the Experts


Sanjay Ojha, Managing Director, Accenture

Sanjay Ojha leads the Accenture’s Applied Intelligence and Digital business for banking and capital markets in North America, helping clients embrace AI and analytics. He’s been part of the leadership team that launched and grew the analytics business for the firm about a decade ago and set up a data science team across five markets.

Ojha was a key member in setting up GE Capital’s Analytics Center of Excellence that serviced businesses worldwide. He joined the leadership team of Genpact that was spun off from GE, and established analytics virtual captive centers for US banks.

Ojha is well-versed with machine learning, data science, data engineering and AI technologies.


Stephen Thorne, Director of AI Business Development, Intel

Steve Thorne is head of Business Development for the AI Products Group (AIPG) at Intel Corporation. Thorne and his team accelerate technical adoption of Intel’s AI portfolio. He is responsible for initiating, evaluating and managing new AI-focused strategic business opportunities, partnerships and alliances.

Thorne has 24 years of experience at Intel in leadership roles spanning sales, product marketing and technical enablement.


Alex Kwiatkowski, Principal Industry Consultant, Global Banking Practice, SAS

Alex Kwiatkowski is SAS’ industry lead for banking. His role centers on articulating and amplifying company strategy and point of view to senior financial executives, partners, media and influencers, along with creating relevant narratives and supporting content for thought-leadership purposes.

Prior to joining SAS in October 2017, Kwiatkowski was the Senior Strategist for Banking and Digital Channels at Finastra (formerly Misys). Before this, he ran IDC’s Financial Insights team in Europe, where he was responsible for all advisory and consulting services, working closely with banks, technology vendors and service providers. He also spent four years as a Principal Analyst within Ovum’s Financial Services Technology Practice, and prior to that completed a stint as a senior manager within LloydsTSB’s Business Delivery team.

Kwiatkowski holds a BA in contemporary East European studies from UCL in London.
