About the Experts


Bill Danker
Senior Product Manager, SAS

Bill Danker joined SAS in October 2019, with more than 30 years of experience in R&D, data engineering and computer science. He has a background in the development and delivery of petabyte scale systems for research, product development and commercial operations. He also has extensive background in the application of analytics to support R&D research, particularly for genetic testing and analysis of G x E interactions that determine phenotypic responses in plants.

Danker has led global teams in the delivery of IT projects, encompassing lift and shift of on-prem applications to cloud environments as well as bringing innovative approaches to application development, via adoption of the latest data architectures and cloud-based technologies.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, with a minor in business administration, from Morningside College. He earned his Master of Science degree in business administration sciences from Iowa State University.
