On-Demand Webinar

The Data Scientist Learning Journey: Deep Learning Made Easy

This webinar series is designed for individuals who want to elevate their data science skills using SAS® and keep pace with the most innovative technology.

The Data Scientist Learning Journey

About the webinar

Deep learning is one of the most powerful techniques for data scientists to analyze both structured and unstructured data.

In this webinar, we’ll introduce you to helpful tools for data scientists who are building models with image or video data but don’t have experience working with deep learning model architectures.

For more experienced deep learning modelers, this webinar will provide convenient examples of using predefined architectures to build SAS deep learning models.

You’ll learn how to use the Model Zoo tools in SAS to build powerful deep learning models based on popular model architectures for computer vision tasks.

Join SAS experts for a guide to preparing the data and training and deploying the deep learning models.

Why attend?

  • Learn to accomplish specific tasks like image classification or segmentation with the Model Zoo, a collection of predefined model architectures designed to accomplish specific tasks.
  • Explore the Model Zoo programming interface, which is convenient, easy to use and requires very little experience with deep learning model architectures.
  • Discover how the Model Zoo tools use PyTorch functionality and integrate with TorchScript models to allow for faster training using distributed processing in SAS® Viya®.

About the Experts

Catherine Truxillo
Director of Analytical Education, SAS

Catherine Truxillo has written or co-written SAS training courses for advanced statistical methods, including: multivariate statistics, linear and generalized linear mixed models, multilevel models, structural equation models, imputation methods for missing data, statistical process control, design and analysis of experiments, and cluster analysis. She also teaches SAS courses using SAS/IML®, SAS® Enterprise Guide®, SAS® Enterprise Miner, SAS Forecast Studio and JMP® software.

Ari Zitin
Senior Analytical Training Consultant, SAS

Ari Zitin holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and mathematics from UNC-Chapel Hill. His research focused on collecting and analyzing low-energy physics data to better understand the neutrino. Ari taught introductory and advanced physics and scientific programming courses at UC-Berkeley while working on a master’s in physics with a focus on nonlinear dynamics. At SAS, he has developed courses on how to use Python code to control SAS analytical procedures.
