AI in Action: Transforming Jakarta's Urban Services with SAS Viya

Super SAIJAN team developed an AI-driven framework designed to enhance how citizen reports are validated, prioritized, and routed for action.

About the webinar

Governments are increasingly challenged to manage large volumes of citizen reports while maintaining fast, transparent, and effective public services. Through Jakarta's super-app, JAKI, millions of reports are submitted annually, creating challenges such as duplicate reports, manual validation, and prioritization bottlenecks. To address these issues, the Super SAIJAN team developed an AI-driven framework designed to enhance how citizen reports are validated, prioritized, and routed for action.

This session will showcase the methods behind the award-winning solution, including

  • Fuzzy matching for duplicate detection,
  • Machine learning-based prioritization,
  • Anomaly detection, and
  • Computer vision-assisted validation leveraging CCTV and image analytics.

The proposed approach is expected to help government agencies improve operational efficiency, strengthen citizen trust, and support more data-driven decision-making—earning the team the Global Special Award – Channel Ready at the SAS Hackathon 2025.

In this webinar you will:

  • Discover how Jakarta Smart City leverages SAS Viya and the JAKI super app to analyze citizen reports, remove duplicates, and identify anomalies at scale
  • See how data-driven decisioning enables faster issue resolution by prioritizing and dispatching field officers more effectively
  • Gain practical insights from the panel discussion on how to enter the SAS Hackathon, what to expect throughout the journey, and how SAS supports teams with mentorship
