SAS | The Power to Know

SAS recently partnered with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) to provide convenient access to statistical and analytical software for colleges, universities, K-12 districts and schools. This new offering provides eligible MHEC participants a tiered approach to select a solution that fits best.

Tier 1: SAS® Foundational Analytics

Easy-to-install and easy-to-use desktop package, enabling the functionality needed to access, manipulate, analyze and present information in visual formats. SAS foundational analytics is designed for use by analysts, researchers, statisticians, engineers and scientists who need to explore, examine and present data in an easily understandable way, and distribute their findings in a variety of formats.

Tier 2: SAS® Foundational Analytics With SAS® Predictive Analytics

SAS Predictive Analytics streamlines the data mining process to create highly accurate predictive and descriptive models based on analysis of vast amounts of data. SAS Predictive Analytics is designed for data miners, statisticians, marketing analysts, database marketers, risk analysts, engineers, scientists and business analysts.

Tier 3: SAS® Enterprise Analytics

SAS offers a high-performance, in-memory analytic solution for exploring massive amounts of data very quickly. It enables users to spot patterns, identify opportunities for further analysis, and convey visual results via web reports or tablets for iOS or Android.

Additional SAS Resources for Teaching and Research

SAS also offers educators access to a number of resources at no cost for teaching and research purposes.

  • SAS® Curriculum Pathways® – Web-based curriculum resources in all core disciplines for educators and students in virtual schools, home schools, high schools and community colleges. Perfect to use for college remediation to prepare students for entry-level courses.
  • SAS® Analytics U – A global academic initiative that provides access to free software, e-learning courses and an online users community.

Who Is Eligible

The contract eligibility for SAS includes all of the public and private nonprofit higher education institutions as well as K-12 districts and schools in the following compact regions:

Midwestern Higher Education Compact: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Southern Regional Education Board states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education region: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
