Analytics leader and workplace culture champion SAS has been recognized as a Best Workplace for Parents™ by Great Place to Work®. The list assessed working parents across all positions and their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential at work. Feedback also analyzed the correlation of parenting status and how it affects innovation opportunities, opinions on management effectiveness and feelings on how company values are embraced. In addition, certain programs such as parental leave, adoption, flexible schedule, childcare and dependent health care benefits were evaluated.
Especially important during the unpredictability of a multiyear pandemic, SAS’ reputation of prioritizing employee happiness and providing supportive resources resulted in a smooth transition to remote work environments. By encouraging balance and flexibility, the company’s efforts and mindfulness have been praised by all employees and much appreciated by working parents juggling priorities. Virtual offerings of all its amenities and more provided employees a variety of support – from career development and parenting needs to mental health seminars and exercise classes. In addition to free online learning offerings for employees, their children and the general public, other on-site benefits such as the health care center and pharmacy continued to remain open to care for employees and their families.
