SAS France certified Top Employer 2019 for the tenth consecutive year

This new certification celebrates a decade of well-being for work and performance

SAS France has been named a 2019 Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute for the tenth consecutive year because of its dedication to providing excellent working conditions and commitment to employing innovative HR practices. For the past decade, SAS France has striven to continuously transform its human relations policies, ensuring that its leaders and management provide for its employees’ well-being and career development.

The Top Employers Institute ranked SAS France highly, particularly due to its:

  • Opportunities for employees to receive coaching when beginning a new position.
  • Encouragement of employees engaging in sports during their lunch breaks, providing them with an on-site gym, twice-weekly fitness sessions, tennis courts, wooded fitness trails, a running team, a football team and much more.
  • Childcare facilities for young parents.
  • Fully equipped music room.
  • Caretaker, who is in charge of promoting local traders.
  • Volunteer opportunities that build team bonding and support good causes, including #GivingTuesday and charity sports events.

In 2011, SAS France approved and signed a charter that allows its employees to take advantage of a work-from-home policy and have more freedom in choosing their working hours. France-based employees can choose from three possible working locations: the office at La Défense in Paris, the landscaped facility at Grégy and their own homes. “We can remotely share our screens and work as if we were sitting side-by-side in the same office,” said Senior Manager of Human Resources Yannick Charron of SAS France.

By seeing to its employees’ well-being and empowering them to continue seeking their own personal successes, SAS France has achieved excellence in working conditions for global employees. The Top Employers Institute is an international authority dedicated to recognizing and certifying the excellence of companies’ HR strategies around the world. Its certification program allows organizations like SAS to objectively analyze their policies, practices and standards in order to keep transforming their workplace environments for the better.

“We take great pride in gaining this certification for the tenth year in a row,” said Charron. “This string of successes rewards our corporate culture and incites us to call ourselves into question by taking actions that address our employees’ changing expectations. Our approach is based on a policy of empowerment and continual efforts to develop skills.”

About the Top Employer Certification Program

The Top Employers Institute program offers certified businesses the opportunity to leverage their employer brand, benchmark their practices against the best, and harmonize their HR policies internationally.

As an independent HR certification body, the Top Employers Institute evaluates participants through its international HR Best Practices Survey. To obtain certification, participants must meet minimum criteria set by the Top Employers Institute.

The HR Best Practices Survey includes more than 100 questions related to 600 professional development practices divided into ten themes: talent management strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, integration, training and skills development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture. The Top Employers Institute assesses the implementation of these HR practices and how they are supported through strategy, branch investment, practices, metrics and technologies.

David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, said: "We believe that companies that have achieved 2019 certification have put in place exceptional working conditions and encourage the development of these practices by giving priority to their employees. These companies help enrich the world of work through their ongoing commitment to HR excellence. That's why they are recognized as quality employers. "
