SAS Portugal #1 on Best Companies to Work For

SAS Portugal was recognized by Great Places to Work as the 2017 Best Company  to Work For in Portugal. The analytics leader was awarded the ranking among companies with fewer than 100 employees. SAS also won  three  Social Awards for Leadership, Health and Wellness, and Attracting Young Talent.

SAS Portugal was especially noted for  promoting best practices in human capital management. These  include its high quality onboarding process for  new employees, continuous investment in people through local and global training, workshops, international mobility opportunities, etc., flexible working hours, and it’s  open door policy,  which encourages  personal  contact between  management and team members. As one example, SAS’ new facilities in Amoreiras were designed to encourage interaction between managers and employees with the addition of open spaces and glass walls.

"These four awards point to the value and importance that SAS places on  its employees and reflects  the culture,  vision, and environment at SAS," said Fernando Braz, Chief Executive Officer of SAS Portugal. “We have  adopted these practices to help us grow and compete in a challenging market.”

With solid 15.7 percent growth last year in new licenses, SAS continues to lead the analytical market in Portugal.
