SAS named to KMWorld’s ‘100 companies that matter in knowledge management’
Strength of its text analytics powers SAS onto prestigious list
Once again, powerful text analytics earned SAS honors in KMWorld magazine’s list of “100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management.” SAS was inducted into KMWorld’s Hall of Distinction in 2012.

SAS® Text Analytics allows customers to extract and analyze pertinent Web content, other text sources and legacy documents to unearth themes, trends and hidden insights within big text data collections. Customers identify patterns, discover concepts and learn what words, phrases and facts are important. Adding insights to predictive models and automating classification of content improves decision making.

She noted that SAS will introduce several new products with text analytics in 2014. The first example of this was the launch of SAS In-Memory Statistics for Hadoop, which is specifically designed for that increasingly popular big data architecture. Significant extensions to SAS Contextual Analysis are planned for later this year.
