Introduction to Data Mining and Machine Learning Using SAS® Enterprise Miner™
Take this course on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.
What exactly are data mining and machine learning? How can they help your organization more confidently predict the future? This presentation will introduce you to the essential aspects of data mining and machine learning and give you a guided tour of SAS Enterprise Miner, the powerful data mining workbench from SAS.

SAS Enterprise Miner has a rich source of data mining and machine learning algorithms. One of the strengths of SAS Enterprise Miner is the ability to incorporate not only past champion models created in SAS Enterprise Miner, but also models created in SAS/STAT® or SAS/ETS® as well as models created from other software and open source.

Topics we will cover during this session include:

  • Using SAS Enterprise Miner for data mining and machine learning.
  • Creating a data mining flow.
  • Introduction to modeling.
  • Model comparison.

    - Models created outside SAS Enterprise Miner

Introduction to Visual Data Discovery and Self-Service Analytics Using SAS®
Take this course on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. or Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.
This session introduces you to SAS visualization capabilities (using SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Visual Statistics), which allow users to create and distribute interactive reports and dashboards. We will cover the complete process from data to discovery to reporting to analytics.

  • SAS® Visual Analytics.
    - Create, interact, distribute/publish reports and dashboards.
  • SAS® Visual Statistics.
    - Self-service analytics capability.
  • SAS® Enterprise Guide®.

SAS® Users and the Grid
Take this course on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon.
In this session, we will take a look at ways you can submit code to the grid, how to run jobs interactively using SASGSUB, and how to convert existing SAS programs to run on the grid.
