Featured Presentation
Fitting Multilevel Hierarchical Mixed Models Using PROC NLMIXED
Hierarchical nonlinear mixed models are a class of complex models that arises naturally in many fields. The NLMIXED procedure’s ability to fit linear or nonlinear models with standard or general distributions enables you to fit a wide range of such models. SAS/STAT® 13.2 enhanced PROC NLMIXED to support multiple RANDOM statements, enabling you to fit nested multilevel mixed models. This paper uses various examples to illustrate the new functionality.
Presenter
Raghavendra Rao Kurada is a Senior Research Statistician Developer in the Advanced Analytics Division at SAS. Among his responsibilities are development of the NLMIXED and HPNLMOD procedures. Prior to joining SAS, he received a PhD in statistics from Old Dominion University in 2011 and his areas of interest are nonlinear mixed models, longitudinal data analysis, and copulas.
