This complimentary webinar is hosted by the SAS® Users Group for Administrators (SUGA).

If you’re planning on deploying SAS Grid Manager – or SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence with load-balanced servers – on multiple operating systems instances or other forms of distributed Foundation SAS applications, you’ll need a shared file system. In order to determine the best shared file system choice for a given deployment, it’s important to understand how it’s used, the SAS I/O workload characteristics performed on it, and the shared file system stressors produced by Foundation SAS applications.

Please note: For the purposes of this webinar, we’ll use the term “shared file system” to mean both a clustered file system and shared file system, even though shared can denote network and distributed file systems that aren’t clustered. After reviewing this information, we’ll look at the most commonly used shared file systems being used with SAS and review their strengths and weaknesses.
