Breakfast will be provided in the clubhouse at Prestonwood Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 10:30 a.m. Properly credentialed pro-am amateurs and their guests are welcome to attend. For guests staying at the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle in Cary, the official tournament hotel, breakfast is included in the special room rate. For guests at The Umstead Hotel and Spa, complimentary tea and coffee are provided in the lobby each morning from 5:30 to 9 a.m.
Attire for most events is business casual. Men should wear slacks and a collared shirt, but a jacket and tie are optional. A dress, skirt and blouse, or pants outfit, is appropriate for women. Prestonwood Country Club is a spike-free golf course. Golf course attire includes slacks or walking shorts and a collared shirt (no denim and no metal spikes, please).
Pro-am players are responsible for arranging their own air travel to and from the tournament. Keep in mind that the SAS Championship Pro-Am is a two-day event. If you are not staying for the weekend, we strongly recommend you schedule a flight after 8 p.m. on Thursday or on Friday morning because pro-am play may not finish until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Hotel arrangements are the responsibility of individual pro-am players and guests. You will receive hotel information and instructions on how to book your hotel reservations during your registration and also in your SAS Championship registration confirmation email. For more information about the Embassy Suites, please visit the hotel's website. For more information about The Umstead, please visit theumstead.com.
For transportation service from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to the two event hotels (The Umstead Hotel & Spa and the Embassy Suites), please contact your hotel front desk to arrange transportation or use a taxi, Uber or Lyft.
For departures from Prestonwood Country Club on Thursday, Oct. 14, please use one of the available shuttles in front of the clubhouse. If departing any other day, please contact your hotel front desk to arrange transportation.
