Are you using technology to improve the lives of your citizens? Envision Carolina is an opportunity for city and county staff and elected leaders to learn how. 

Join SAS – in partnership with the Triangle J Council of Government and the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster – for a half-day session October 4 to acquaint municipalities and counties with smart city solutions. At this event, we’ll discuss questions like:

• What is a smart city and what technologies are employed in smart city
  solutions?
• What smart city solutions are being implemented in cities across the US?
• How does a local government get started implementing a smart city solution?
• What companies provide technology for smart city solutions?
• What grants and funding opportunities are available?

Our aim is to inspire cities and counties to be innovative in solving their problems and providing excellent service to their citizens.

Also at this event, cities and counties will be invited to apply to participate in a one-day workshop in November when each government will think through a smart city initiative with the help of corporate partners such as SAS, Esri and OSISoft.  Up to nine local governments will be selected for the workshop.
