Lodging and Air Travel

Hotel arrangements are the responsibility of attendees. You will receive hotel information and instructions on how to book your hotel reservations in your confirmation email. Attendees are also responsible for arranging their own air travel and transfers to and from area hotels.

Conference Transportation

Transportation will be provided by SAS for attendees from The Umstead and Embassy Suites to and from the SAS Executive Briefing Center (Building C) and to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on Tuesday evening.

Shuttle Schedule

  • From the Embassy Suites to the SAS Executive Briefing Center (Building C) at 8:10 a.m.
  • From The Umstead to the SAS Executive Briefing Center (Building C) at 8:20 a.m.
  • From the SAS Executive Briefing Center (Building C) to both the Embassy Suites and The Umstead beginning at 6 p.m.
  • From the Embassy Suites and The Umstead to the dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse at 7:15 p.m.
  • From Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse to the Embassy Suites and The Umstead at 9:30 p.m.

US Open Logistics

Tickets
You may pick up your ticket for the SAS hospitality tent in Pinehurst at the SAS Will Call desk at either the Embassy Suites or The Umstead Monday through Wednesday, June 9-11.

SAS Will Call Hours:
6:00 – 10:30 a.m.

SAS Will Call Locations:
Embassy Suites – meeting space entrance off lobby.
The Umstead – Cedar Room in hotel conference center.

SAS Hospitality Tent at the US Open Championship
The SAS hospitality tent at the 2014 US Open Championship will be located in Tufts Village on Maniac Hill along the 18th fairway of the famed Pinehurst No. 2 course.

The tent will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. We will be offering breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and full bar service.

Transportation
Transportation will be provided by SAS for attendees from The Umstead and Embassy Suites to and from Pinehurst.

Buses will depart hotels for Pinehurst No. 2 at 6:30 a.m., 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Buses will depart Pinehurst No. 2 for event hotels at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

If Driving Directly to US Open Championship in Pinehurst
General spectator parking is available in two locations:

From north of Pinehurst: Follow directional signage to North Lot (Red Lot) – located at Watts Auman Farm off Route 73 (access via Beulah Hill Church Road and/or Route 73).

From south of Pinehurst: Follow directional signage to South Lot (Blue Lot) – located on John Garner Property located off Sand Pit Road.

No special credential, pass or ticket is required to access either general spectator lot or to ride the USGA shuttle to the US Open Championship. There is no fee to park at the general spectator parking lots or to ride the USGA shuttle to the US Open Championship. USGA shuttles will run continuously from both the north and south general spectator parking lots to and from the Championship beginning at 5:30 a.m. until at least two hours after the conclusion of play each day, and take approximately 10-15 minutes. Prohibited Items and Security

A complete list of items prohibited at the US Open Championship is available on the US Open website. Cellphones and PDAs are NOT permitted at any time. Cameras are permitted ONLY during practice rounds.

EVERYONE will pass through a security checkpoint with either a magnetometer or wand device before entering the US Open Championship. Spectators arriving with a cellphone, PDA or other prohibited item will be asked to return the device to their vehicle or check the device in the Disallowed Items check tent or trailer.
