About this paper
Improper payments and other forms of fraud cost government agencies and taxpayers $300 million a day. Agencies struggle to make headway against fraudsters who are both inventive and technologically well-equipped. But progress is possible through the combination of data management and integration, advanced and embedded analytics, and information and insights channeled to decision makers. To explore the challenges of fighting government fraud and reducing losses, IIA spoke with Steve Bennett, Director of the Global Government Practice at SAS and Jon Lemon, Solutions Specialist, SAS Federal.
