SAS a leader in big data predictive analytics per research report

SAS offers ‘almost every feature a data scientist or business user could ever want.’

Noting SAS’ “unmatched breadth and depth” in its analytics solutions, “The Forrester Wave™: Big Data Predictive Analytics Solutions, Q2 2015” named SAS a leader. The report scores the business analytics leader’s product offerings, strategy and market presence.

Forrester Research awarded SAS 4.68 out of a possible 5.00 points in the current offerings category and 4.11 for strategy. Current offering scores are based on factors such as architecture, analysis, and usability and tooling; strategy is based on acquisition and pricing, implementation support, solution road map and other factors. Forrester rated SAS as 5.00 for market presence, which it draws from evaluations of the vendor’s partnerships, customer base and financial results.

“SAS continues to be an analytics powerhouse,” the report states. “With a strategic focus on analytics since 1976, it is no surprise that SAS offers predictive analytics solutions that offer almost every feature a data scientist or business user could ever want. SAS also keeps up with the evolving needs of analytics users. SAS Visual Analytics provides data scientists with an all-in-one visualization tool and predictive analytics solution. SAS solutions are also integrated with open source R, Python and Hadoop.”

Shukri Dabaghi, SAS’ Regional Director Middle East & Francophone Africa, said: “At SAS, we stay ahead of the competition by keeping up with the evolving needs of users, and we are constantly developing our product and service offerings. Our many years of experience in the field of predictive analytics enables us to not only understand what our customers need, but also how to make the content simple to manage and use.”
