Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Matt Parson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at SAS, where he guides a global team tasked with ensuring SAS’ financial strength and charting its future strategy, including IPO readiness efforts.

Having joined SAS in July 2025, Parson brings more than two decades of successful international financial leadership experience to the role and has served in executive positions at several SaaS and technology businesses throughout periods of rapid growth and evolution. He previously spent 12 years at Red Hat, where he helped scale the business from $200 million to nearly $3 billion in annual revenue. Since then, he has held CFO roles at CloudBees and Paymentus, steering the latter through a successful IPO. Most recently, he served as CFO and COO at ExtraHop, where he led financial and operational strategy during a time of rapid expansion.

Parson’s professional journey, from auditing at three of the Big Four firms to leading the finances of global tech companies, reflects a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight and leadership acumen – all of which he draws on daily at SAS. He earned both his undergraduate degree and a master’s in accounting from NC State University’s Poole College of Management and is an avid golfer and dog dad.
