SAS® Forum Australia & New Zealand 2013 expected to attract record delegate numbers

SAS® – the leader in business analytics software and services and the largest independent business intelligence vendor – will host SAS Forum, the region's premier business analytics event on 8 August 2013 at Sydney's Hilton Hotel.

Following the success of the sold out SAS Forum Australia and New Zealand 2010, this year's event brings together Asia Pacific's business analytics leaders and SAS professionals. The event offers the opportunity to share ideas with industry professionals and be inspired by the experiences of the largest organisations in the region.

According to David Bowie, managing director for SAS Australia and New Zealand, more than 1,000 delegates are expected to attend, about a third of whom will be C-level executives from the banking and finance sector, major retailers, telecommunications companies, energy and utilities and Commonwealth and State Government agencies.

Bowie added, "We have witnessed a significant growth in our customer base since the last regional Forum in 2010 and I am confident that this year's event will be bigger and better. This year's speakers and panellists will discuss how the power of big data analytics is driving the information economy and offer insights into how this will transform the future of business and society."

Amongst the highlights will be keynote addresses by visiting SAS executives Dr Jim Goodnight, Chief Executive Officer, and Jim Davis, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. This premier event will also showcase a host of executive and technology speakers from leading organisations who will deliver best practice case study presentations.

SAS Forum's Executive Panel will bring together the region's most influential minds to offer perspectives and insights on 'The Information Economy – How to harness information to uncover new sources of growth, progress, productivity and performance'. Hosted by the Trans-Tasman Business Circle and moderated by respected finance and economics commentator Michael Pascoe, the Executive Panel includes leading government and industry visionaries.

Event partners include the Trans-Tasman Business Circle, Asia Pacific Banking & Finance Magazine and the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising. Unfolding details may be found at www.sasforum.com.au
