Dr. Farzad Mostashari to keynote SAS Health Analytics Executive Conference
Former ONC National Coordinator joins health care and life science executives to share trends and best practices for big data analytics, data visualization, data transparency; conference also viewable via webcast
Analytics is increasingly indispensable as the health care industry moves toward greater transparency. To address the latest efforts to improve data transparency, care delivery and consumer engagement, more than 300 thought leaders will convene at the 11th Annual SAS Health Analytics Executive Conference in Cary, NC, on May 14.
Among the many noted industry leaders joining the discussion are Farzad Mostashari, MD, former National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and John F. Crowley, Chairman and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics. Mostashari is currently a visiting fellow of the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at the Brookings Institution. Crowley was the inspiration for the major motion picture, Extraordinary Measures.
“The ongoing transition from volume to value in US health care is fundamentally a data-driven exercise,” said Graham Hughes, MD, Chief Medical Officer for the SAS Center for Health Analytics and Insights. “Our customers are focusing on scalable analytic solutions that are designed to handle big data being surfaced through cross-industry collaborations. The conference discussions and best practice sharing among industry stakeholders from health care, pharma, biotech and insurance organizations are invaluable.”
While the event at SAS headquarters in Cary is invitation only, others can view most of the conference proceedings via webcast on Wednesday, May 14, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET. For details and to register visit SAS Health Analytics Virtual Conference.
