Amir Sohrabi
Global Vice President for Business Transformation and Client Engagement
Amir Sohrabi serves as the Global Vice President for Business Transformation and Client Engagement. He is responsible for engaging with SAS’ key global clients across focused industries, supporting their Digital Transformation journey.
Amir is a Technology and Digital Executive with over 28 years of experience in developing and leading high-performing teams globally. Prior to joining SAS, he worked at SAP and Citrix, leading their Analytics and Insights lines of business across MENA and Emerging EMEA.
Amir spent 17 years in Washington DC, working on commercial and public-sector IT transformation initiatives. These projects included engagements with the US Department of Commerce, US Department of Defense, USAID, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and the World Health Organization.
Having worked and studied in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South America, he has a unique understanding of operating in complex global environments, covering mature and emerging markets.
Amir has a deep passion for youth development and education, and is a firm believer in lifelong learning. For the past 14 years, he has been an American Football youth coach. He also runs a youth development program (Youth2Leaders) in his community, covering the Emerging EMEA & AP region.
In addition, he is an active supporter of the startup community, serving as an advisor and speaker for initiatives across the region.
Amir holds a Master of Science in MIS from George Washington University, Washington, DC.
