Prayon and SAS join forces to put digitalization at the heart of its chemical plant

A global analytical platform is key for Industry 4.0 transformation

Prayon and SAS are joining forces to roll out a global analytical platform. This collaboration will enable Prayon’s chemical installations to get the best out of the available data in optimized processes.  With SAS® Viya, Prayon has a future-proof analytics platform that will help them to digitize their operations and increase efficiency.

Prayon and SAS have collaborated successfully to validate the potential of advanced analytics. This demonstrated that using data analytics on process data helps Prayon to make industrial processes more efficient and to increase reliability. Analytics also have preemptive characteristics which allow Prayon’s operators to adapt the set-up on time. All these features create sustainable value for Prayon.

With the SAS Platform - including machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities - Prayon will be able to industrialize models and embed advanced analytics in their day-to-day operations.

Marc Senterre, Director IT Prayon Group, acknowledges the added value of advanced analytics: “We are living amazing times. Prayon, a leader in phosphate chemistry for more than 100 years, is becoming a pioneer of Industry 4.0. At the cornerstone of this digital transformation is the IT department building bridges between manufacturing and technology. Obviously advanced data analytics is a crucial factor of our successful digital transformation.”

Guy Van Wilder, Manufacturing Sales Director SAS Benelux comments: “Sensor data holds tremendous value when threated with a platform that can scale from agile piloting to industrial and robust implementations that change the face of manufacturing for good. The digital transformation that Prayon started is yet another example, to our successful track record.”
