SAS Viya can read from almost any data source. Sometimes the data must be loaded into a CAS table, either for faster processing or because the chosen SAS tool requires data in that form. There are many methods for loading the data, and two routes: directly into CAS, or via the compute server. Each route suits particular use cases.
