SAS Named a Leader in 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools
SAS today announced it was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools1, based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. This is the thirteenth consecutive time that SAS has been named a Leader.
According to the report, “Data quality tools are vital for digital business transformation, especially now that many have emerging features like automation, machine learning, business-centric workflows and cloud deployment models.”
“High quality data underpins everything in successful digital transformation and AI initiatives. In order to achieve a faster time to value, companies must be able to trust the data that’s feeding into their analytics processes,” said David Smith, Head of Data Management at SAS UK & Ireland. “To achieve that, they must enforce data governance policies that prioritise data quality and lineage. At SAS, we build data quality into every aspect of our solutions, making it easy for organisations to improve their decision-making processes with accurate data insights.
“Not only that, but good data quality also helps companies ensure their AI deployments are transparent and fair. It’s important that we help companies deploy AI in an ethical manner, ensuring data is used in the best interests of all involved.”
- SAS Data Management is built on the SAS Platform with a solid data quality foundation that helps organisations improve, integrate and govern data. The product gives organisations a standard, repeatable method for improving and integrating data – without additional cost.
- SAS Data Quality delivers trusted data by supporting traditional and emerging data sources – such as Hadoop, Impala, Amazon Redshift and more – throughout the entire data life cycle. By improving data where it lives, SAS provides faster and more secure data access. With data constantly flowing in and out, businesses rely on SAS to establish repeatable processes that build and maintain high-quality data.
- SAS Data Preparation uses the fast processing power of SAS Viya® to help report builders, data scientists and data analysts blend, shape and cleanse data for analysis, identifying errors and providing data on demand so that organisations can make faster data-driven decisions. SAS enables users to profile and identify problems, preview data and set up repeatable processes to maintain a high level of data quality.
