SAS UK & Ireland announces more partners to give customers the power to know

Enhanced channel partnerships will provide answers for organisations wanting to monetise big data

SAS UK & Ireland, the leader in business analytics, has announced a number of partner initiatives that will extend its big data analytics footprint in these countries, the latest being a partnership with SCC, Europe's largest independent technology solutions provider.

According to a recent SAS and e-skills UK report, the market for big data analytics is expected to double in the next three years as companies - large and small - require greater insight for effective business decisions. These decisions could deliver revenue through strengthening customer relations, identifying cost-saving operational efficiencies or actively addressing threats such as fraud and mitigating risk.

The partnership with SCC, which operates across all of SAS's key industry sectors, will focus on using the power of SAS Visual Analytics so businesses of any size can get visual answers from data in seconds and easily share them across the organisation. Another key solution being offered is ANSWERS from SAS, which allows organisations to outsource analytics so they can get access to insights from their data without heavy investment in skills or technology.

Earlier this year SAS announced a global partnership with Arrow making SAS products and solutions available to customers worldwide through Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions' network of authorised resellers in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This was followed by the announcement of SAS UK & Ireland's partnership with Callcredit Information Group to deliver a market leading omni-channel marketing and analytics service. A SAS Marketing Automation software suite has already been deployed to ASDA, one of the UK's leading retailers, under this partnership. The software provides an easy-to-use interface, with repeatable processes to enable organisations to deliver more campaigns – from simple to complex – in a shorter space of time.

A further partnership was announced with Computacenter, also enabling businesses of various sizes to use the power of SAS Visual Analytics and ANSWERS from SAS.

Andrew Wright, SCC UK Commercial Director, said: "SCC enables people to do business by planning, supplying, integrating and managing their IT in collaboration with the most appropriate partners. Our relationship will help SAS to extend its reach, and in turn support UK & Ireland's private and public sector businesses in improving their services through technology."

Richard Bradbury, Alliance Director, SAS UK & Ireland, commented: "Analysing data and finding insight and incremental value from it is becoming increasingly critical to business success and many more companies are looking to utilise their data assets. However, many are holding back because analytics skills are at a premium and knowing where, or how, to start is not always clear. For many organisations in particular, it is the broad bandwidth and skills that SAS and partners like SCC can offer that can help them get going, or enhance the steps they have already taken to get even more answers from their data."

Working with a range of partners, SAS has two central aims for its channel strategy: grow its industry-specific solutions footprint by offering solutions as a complete analytics platform; and extend the use of big data analytics into more small and medium businesses through a combination of function focused and entry-level analytics solutions, and cloud/outsourced service provision.
