SAS Appoints Peter Sugiapranata as Indonesia’s Country Manager
SAS, the leader in analytics software and services, has appointed IT veteran, Peter Sugiapranata as the new Country Manager for Indonesia. Leading its sales and field operations, Sugiapranata is responsible for the strategic growth of the local SAS office, and will continue to deliver analytics and insights to organizations in Indonesia.
SAS Vice President for ASEAN Andy Zook, to whom Sugiapranata will report to, welcomes the latter’s appointment to SAS Indonesia.
“Peter has led SAS’ expansion into the government and financial sectors since he joined in 2015. He provides customers with innovative approaches to gain insights from structured and unstructured data to deliver desired business outcomes. As the ASEAN region’s most populous market with steady GDP growth, Indonesia is a key market for SAS. In his new position as Country Manager, Peter will lead SAS in its endeavor to enable customers to better leverage big data as they adapt to market changes and transform their business,” said Zook.
In addition to supporting customers on their analytics journey, SAS Indonesia has played an active role in developing the data science and analytics workforce with various academic outreach programs in Indonesia since 1997.

Prior to his appointment as Country Manager, Sugiapranata was SAS Indonesia’s Sales Director since 2015. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry with SAP and Astra Graphia Information Technology, where he drove consistent execution of sales and strategic partnership initiatives in the market.
