During the financial crisis, the G20 tasked global accounting standard-setters with an objective: to create a single set of high-quality global standards. In response, the International Accounting Standard Board and Financial accounting Standard Board worked together to develop new financial instruments standards.
After more than 5 years of deliberation, in July 2014 the IASB published the complete version of IFRS 9, "Financial instruments", which replaces most of the guidance in IAS 39. The application of IFRS 9 is mandatory for annual accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2018 for many countries. For Indonesia’s banks, banks would opt for this standard as part of the requirement to obtain the disclosure transparency meeting with international standard.
Join us for this breakfast seminar in Jakarta on Friday, 14 December 2018 to understand how KPMG and SAS® IFRS 9 solutions can support your organization in your IFRS 9 journey. Our international experts aim to guide Indonesian banks on how to best prepare for the IFRS 9 implementation. They will share their knowledge of the complexities of IFRS 9 and offer practical experiences to cope with the challenges of implementing IFRS 9.
* The Event will be held in Bahasha Indonesian without translation
