Executive Vice President and Chief Hosting Officer
John Brocklebank has more than 36 years of SAS® programming and statistical experience. He leads the SAS Global Hosting and US Professional Services division and delivers trusted solution services in a hosted environment or on-premises with customers.
He also directs the Advanced Analytics Lab (AAL), whose members have a proven track record of solving complex business problems across a wide variety of industries and rapidly growing presales and delivery of services while the scope of challenges and the quantity of customer projects under management continue to grow. The AAL devotes over 400 people, many of whom are doctoral-level SAS experts, to developing technology solutions for critical issues within industries such as fraud, waste, tax collection, public safety, health care and education.
Brocklebank began his successful career at SAS by serving as the initial Product Development Director for SAS® Enterprise Miner™ and the SAS Fraud Framework – two key offerings in the SAS product suite that have been well received by customers. Prior to that role, he led the Statistical Training and Consulting group in SAS’ Education Department.
With 14 issued patents, Brocklebank has helped SAS stay ahead of evolving customer needs by identifying ways businesses can better access software. That driving force led him to start SAS’ hosting business, which gives customers the choice and flexibility to adapt to their technology needs.
Co-author of the book SAS for Forecasting Time Series (currently in its third edition), Brocklebank holds a PhD in statistics and mathematics, a Master of Science in biostatistics, and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics. At North Carolina State University, he serves as an adjunct professor of statistics. He has received the SAS CEO Award of Excellence and the Best Fit Integrator award, as well as multiple recognition awards for delivery excellence, service to state and local government, and leadership.
