Mr. Jim Davis

Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, SAS

As Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Davis provides strategic direction for SAS products, solutions and services and presenting the SAS brand worldwide. He helped transform SAS from a tools provider to a software solutions provider.

A respected thought leader, Davis co-authored the book Information Revolution: Using the Information Evolution Model to Grow Your Business.

Since joining SAS in 1994, Davis has pioneered many key initiatives, including global projects that incorporate customer feedback in the development process. Today, he continues to refine the model for continuous collaboration and innovation, enabling SAS to meet the global demand for business analytics.


Mr. Cliff Wu

CEO, SAS Greater China

As CEO of SAS Greater China, Cliff Wu is responsible for overall operation of business intelligence solutions and consultancy services team in China.

Prior to joining SAS in 2011, Cliff worked for FICO as CEO of Greater China. During this period, FICO has achieved business growth and built the leadership in risk management area in China. Before that, Cliff has worked for Teradata as CEO of Greater China for 11 years. Under his leadership, Teradata has grown from a new company to a strong professional service team and built a key account databases. Teradata has secured the leadership in China enterprise data warehouse market and served key accounts including 15 major banks in China, 20 telecommunication operators, China Post and Shanghai Stock Exchange.

His employment history includes NCR, AT & T, Unisys and other IT companies. He previously served as Taiwan General Manager of AT & T Computer Systems, Taiwan General Manager of NCR, Greater China Business Director of Computer Systems, NCR.

Cliff holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from National Taiwan University and obtained a MBA Degree in Tulane University and a Ph.D. degree in Marketing from Nankai University.


Dr. Alfred Liu

General Manager, SAS China R & D Center

Dr. Alfred Liu is the General Manager of SAS Research and Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd., overseeing the entire business operations, development of the latest software products, localization of products, and collaborating with other SAS offices around the world. Dr. Liu has a strong experience in foreign business operations and large-scale project management. Prior to joining SAS, Dr. Liu served as the General Manager of Sybase China R & D Center. Under his leadership, Sybase China R & D Center expanded from a group of 20 staff to become one of China's largest and most influential research institutions.


Ms. Jenny Liu

Practice Lead for Risk and Compliance, Fraud and Security, SAS North Asia; General Manager, SAS Great China

Practice Lead for Fraud & Risk Practice in North Asia; Jenny has over 20 years’ experience with her last role (for 5 years) with Fair Isaac as its Senior Director and Vice President for its Analytics & Consulting Division covering Greater China, leading a team with 50 experts, and recognized as 1 of only 4 identified as a global top talent in Fair Isaac. Prior to that, Jenny worked 10 years with Experian, initially in the US and subsequently in Asia Pacific, based in China. Her experience covered most of the major financial institutions in US, China, HK, Taiwan, as well as projects in Korea (Korea Exchange Bank, Korea Credit Bureau), and other countries in Asia Pacific.

Jenny comes with substantial experience in the areas of credit risk (including credit scoring) and fraud as well as solid expertise in credit bureaus.

In Basel II compliance area, Jenny and her team successfully delivered Basel II compliance projects for over 90% of Banks in China and major banks in Hong Kong and Korea.

Experience: Solid experience in (credit) risk and fraud management and plays the role of trusted advisor for banks and financial institutions for many major banks particularly in US and Greater China. Proven records in business development, market share enlargement and team growth, and strong in creating appropriate business opportunities and delivery with cost control and client satisfaction.

Mr. Deepak Ramanathan

Chief Technology Officer, North Asia, SAS

Deepak is a member of the SAS Center of Excellence for Analytics Platforms supporting the Technology Platform initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.

Deepak works with organizations in formulating their analytics strategies and helping them craft out the supporting infrastructure.

Deepak has been supporting the Asia Pacific region for the past 8 years and has advised customers across the verticals including Financial Services, Communications, Manufacturing and Public Sector.

Deepak has been with SAS over the past 13 years and is based out of Singapore.


Mr. Thomas Roehm

Senior Director, SAS Global Industry Practices

Thomas Roehm is the Senior Director of the Global Industry Practices for SAS Institute, the world’s leader in business analytics solutions. In this role he leads the Business Development, Marketing, and Industry Consulting services for SAS’ strategic industries. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in leading many internal and customer driven enterprise wide projects.

Mr. Roehm has more than 25 years’ experience working within the manufacturing industry and 29 years in information technology. His primary focus during these years has been in supply chain management.  While working with clients in this space, he gained valuable insights into the business and information technology requirements for successful supply chain management.

For 14 years, Mr. Roehm helped develop and support manufacturing information systems for EDS. During that time, he spent several years working with the GM Truck Group where he was responsible for the development and implementation support of their quality systems.

Mr. Roehm was also an adjunct professor in the graduate program at Lawrence Technological University.


Ms. Irene Xu

Practice Lead for Customer Intelligence, SAS North Asia

Practice Lead for Customer Intelligence in North Asia; Prior to joining SAS, Irene last worked in Citi for close to 14 years as Head of Decision Management for Citi Singapore. She was managing a team of over 30 analysts to leverage business analytics in shaping business strategy formation, uncovering untapped business opportunity and producing actionable business insights that generate tangible business value. In additions, she was also senior member of APAC Decision Management leadership team overseeing Information Management & Big Data Strategy for Citi across Asia Pacific.

Citi Singapore is Citi’s most profitable consumer banking business globally and its CI/IMM function led by Irene is considered best-in-class in the Citi organization; With deep advanced analytics knowledge and strong business acumen, Irene also provided thought leadership and strategic direction in shaping Citi’s analytical capabilities and development roadmap, having been involved in its CI/IMM journey, including real-time and digital, and more recently geolocation and speech analytics.

Irene has also served as Member of Singapore InfoComm Competency Framework Steering Committee since 2011.

Experience: Over 25 years professional experience in Banking and IT, with deep expertise in database marketing, customer analytics, sales & marketing analytics, business optimization, financial analysis. Able to transform data into actionable insights and create financial value. Irene also spent over 6 years in Compaq (and Digital) managing its full suite of supply chain management systems and its application development, responsible for the global rollout of the SAP R3 application across Asia Pacific, as well as pricing and master database management system for Compaq in Asia.
