New research by The Tech Partnership highlights extent of problem facing UK businesses

This is the third annual report into the big data skills gap in the UK economy, commissioned from The Tech Partnership by SAS . This year we've increased the forecast up to the year 2020, and the forecast remains largely unchanged : demand for big data skills is surging, and if the skills gap is not addressed the digital economy and the Internet of Things in the UK will be severely hampered. This survey of more than 1,000 UK employers of various sizes reveals:

  • current and future job vacancies.
  • the difficulty of recruitment.
  • remuneration trends and
  • overall future demand.

"Big Data Analytics: Assessment of Demand for Labour and Skills, 2013-2020" provides a detailed analysis of the current UK market and projected changes up to and including 2020.
