SAS recognised as one of the top 10 Best Workplaces in the UK

Fourth consecutive year of recognition by employees and the Great Place to Work Institute

SAS, the leader in analytics, is one of the UK’s best places to work, according to the latest ranking published by Great Place to Work®. SAS achieved 10th place in the ‘large company’ category, up from 13th in 2019.

This is the fourth consecutive year that SAS has been recognised as one of UK’s best places to work. The rankings are based on the findings of a robust employee survey and a thorough assessment of policies and practices by the Great Place to Work Institute.

Nearly nine in 10 (86 per cent) of employees surveyed as part of the Great Place to Work ranking agreed SAS is ‘a great place to work’. Areas of strength for the company were its scores for atmosphere, ethical and approachable management, work life balance, autonomous working and brand pride. SAS also fared particularly well against the competition by achieving an overall Trust index of 82 per cent.

SAS strives to provide an environment that nurtures innovation and value, so that employees feel empowered to find the right answers for customers. The company culture puts a premium on employee happiness, encourages creativity, and focuses on providing the best balance between professional development and a healthy lifestyle.

“Everybody knows that motivated, passionate and engaged employees are the key to an organisation’s long-term  success and resilience,” said Charles Senabulya, VP & Country Manager, SAS UK & Ireland. “We are always looking to improve our employee engagement – to give our people inspiring and challenging work, combined with a collaborative atmosphere.

“We trust our employees to work independently and creatively, and we believe that this freedom is key to workplace happiness. This has been demonstrated by the way our employees have successfully embraced working from home during the COVID-19 crisis. We're delighted that our employees feel appreciated and supported, and we look forward to working with them to continuosly  improve our reputation as a ‘great place to work’.”

Understanding the perspective of employees is key to building a successful workplace environment. To determine an organisations ranking, Great Place to Work administers their Trust Index survey® to employees which represents three-quarters of the final score. The remaining quarter of the score comes from the Culture Audit®, a business-driven questionnaire that uncovers and evaluates the organisation's HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.
