SAS officially named among 2020 UK Best WorkplacesTM for Women

SAS, the leader in analytics, is one of the UK’s best places to work for women, according to the latest ranking published by Great Place to Work®. SAS achieved seventh place in the ‘large company’ category (for 251 to 1,000 employees).

SAS was named among 68 organisations ranked and the recognition confirms

  • SAS is a great workplace for all, including women
  • SAS’ employees feel a strong sense of Trust, Fairness and Wellbeing in their workplace
  • SAS recognises that women represent a valuable talent pool in an increasingly talent–constrained environment
  • SAS is living up to its organisational values and making meaningful changes to improve its ability to recruit, retain and nurture top female employees

Earlier this year the analytics leader was also named one of the UK’s best places to work for the fourth consecutive year, according to the ranking published by Great Place to Work®.

“At SAS it’s not just about fitting into the culture, it’s about adding to it. We want every one of our employees to feel confident in expressing their ideas, and to know that they will be respected for their unique contributions and abilities,” explained Charles Senabulya, VP & Country Manager, SAS UK & Ireland.

“One of the ways we enable this is via our Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), a strong community of SAS employees who empower, encourage and inspire women to pursue excellence in their careers and fulfilment in their personal lives.  Members act as ambassadors for SAS and STEM careers, sharing time, experience and expertise for the benefit of our future female leaders.”

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK, said: ‘We’re delighted to recognise so many great organisations in this third year of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women list. The issues affecting women in the workplace, particularly parity of pay and advancement opportunities, continue to be important topics.

“We are proud that thanks to this ranking and the insights afforded by our successful organisations, we are able to add to the conversation and help raise awareness of the importance of fairness around pay, recognition, training and development opportunities and work-life balance.”

SAS is a global software company and analytics leader, serving customers in 147 countries with almost 14,000 employees in 59 countries across the world; and considers its diverse workforce instrumental in its success. Women make up nearly half of SAS employees and more than 40 per cent of its leadership globally.

The HR policies are designed to help attract, retain and empower women at all levels in the organisation.  They offer flexible working policies, an overall benefits offering that is best-in-class. The business works hard to continually evaluate how to develop these as ways of working evolve.
