SAS Education Secures Gold

Independent evaluation rates SAS highly across learning products, technologies, services and facilities

SAS, the global leader in analytics, has been awarded a Gold Accreditation from the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) for the 12th year running. It recognises SAS UK & Ireland's excellence in its approach and commitment to providing learning solutions.

The accreditation followed an independent assessment, which examined every aspect of SAS' involvement in learning products, technologies, services and facilities. SAS Education performed well above the market average in 20 out of 23 KPIs, scoring a maximum rating in 17 measures.

SAS provides training on site or online in many areas of data analytics, from foundation tools, to high-performance analytics and solutions for Hadoop. Earlier in October, the SAS Academy for Data Science was launched to develop skills in big data management, advanced analytics, machine learning and data visualisation. It also delivers essential communication skills needed by today's data scientists.

For nearly 40 years SAS has been committed to improving education, operations and training delivery. The award comes on the back of a very successful year for SAS Education with increased levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

"Our 12th gold accreditation from the LPI is recognition of the hard work and effort by our team of data scientists and trainers. The acknowledgement underlines our passion for developing talents and skills to exploit opportunities in the digital economy," said Myles Hannon, Head of Education at SAS UK & Ireland. "Our research with Tech Partnership put average pay for big data professionals in the UK at £55,000 pa – 24 per cent more than the average IT position. SAS certification will be a strong differentiator for job seekers clamouring for one of the 56,000 jobs for big data professionals being created every year by 2020," Hannon added.
