SAS Education hits gold standard again

Evaluation based on outstanding quality in sales, operations and delivery

SAS, the global leader in business analytics, has been awarded a Gold Accreditation from the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) for its education programme in the UK, reflecting outstanding levels of quality in the areas of sales, operations and training delivery. It's the eleventh year in a row that SAS has achieved this standard.

It follows a rigorous independent accreditation process which examined every aspect of SAS' involvement in learning and related services. The LPI's main criteria is what customers think of the service and how successfully it fulfils their needs. More than 95 per cent of customers rated instructors, the courses and course administration as "excellent" or "good" and would recommend courses to others.

SAS provides training on site, online or via the web in many areas of data analytics, from Foundation Tools, to High-performance Analytics and Solutions for Hadoop. In October last year it launched its SAS Data Scientist Curriculum to give both students and experienced data scientists the knowledge and skills to better prepare, analyse and extract value from big data.

Myles Hannon, Head of Education at SAS UK & Ireland, said: "The fact this is the eleventh year in a row we've achieved Gold Accreditation is testament to the high standards we've been able to maintain in the education services we provide. We are also fully aware of the important role we have to play moving forward. Our recent research with Tech Partnership showed that by 2020 the UK will have 56,000 big data job opportunities every year, yet we do not have enough graduates or IT professionals with the skills required to meet today's demand."
