SAS Institute Canada on the 2021 List of Best Workplaces™ for Inclusion
SAS Institute Canada Inc. is proud to announce that our organization made it to the 2021 list of Best Workplaces™ for Inclusion. SAS Canada received this honour after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®.
This list is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. The data has a 90% confidence and a plus or minus 5% margin of error.
To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work- Certified™ in the past year, and at least 90% of employees must agree they are treated fairly regardless of personal characteristics (such as gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation). We determined the BEST based on employee responses to inclusion-related Trust Index statements.
As an organization that strives for constant innovation, SAS is committed to building a diverse workforce by bringing together different backgrounds and perspectives to help generate new ideas.
“At SAS, diversity and inclusion are a top priority,” said Cameron Dow, President of SAS Canada. “Being inclusive and creating equal opportunity for all is an essential part of our culture and continues to be crucial to our success.”
SAS relies on several company-sponsored, voluntary, and employee-led groups that serve as a resource for employees and company to foster an inclusive workplace. Moreover in 2018, SAS Canada launched the Women in Analytics (WIA) network with the purpose of strengthening diversity in the analytics field. This program leverages SAS values of authenticity, value for work/life balance and passion to build a community, inside and outside of SAS, who work to advocate for women in the field of analytics.
Earlier this year, SAS Canada was also recognized as a Great Place to Work® in Canada and a Great Place to Work® for Women. These multiple recognitions are a true testament to SAS’ on-going mission to making their employees feel happy and valued.
In addition to building a culture of inclusion, SAS remains committed to using data to address major problems around the globe such as climate change. Visit curiosity.sas.com to learn how data is helping to preserve the rainforest, monitor bee populations and more.
