The local SAS Academic Program has a number of support initiatives that will assist you in your teaching and research. As part of a SAS software license, SAS can provide course materials, SAS publications, guest lecturers, discounted SAS certification for students and links to industry internships.

SAS offers many opportunities for students to present, compete, and be rewarded for using SAS successfully in their research:
Student Ambassador Program: This competitive program rewards top student researchers with SAS and will pay their travel expenses and registration fees to present at SAS Global Forum. Find out more about last year's winners.
Student Symposium: Teams of two to four undergraduate and graduate students from accredited academic institutions are invited to compete on the application of SAS Analytics to big data at the SAS Global Forum.
User Groups: Great & free opportunities to network and exchange knowledge are yours when you present at or attend a SAS user group conference. Papers can spotlight how SAS is used, a tip/trick to use SAS, and can be for any level of SAS user.
SAS University Edition is FREE use of SAS foundational technologies, ideal for data and statistical analysis in teaching, research and self-paced learning. SAS On Demand for Academics is free software available in the cloud. It includes the following products: Base SAS, SAS Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Forecast Server and much more! Perfect for independent learning and research.
The best of both: For students who know their field of study and need to explore or visualise data, JMP is an excellent companion to SAS. A SAS toolbar in JMP provides seamless SAS access. With JMP, students can browse data from a local SAS connection, read and write SAS datasets, remotely submit code to SAS and see the results displayed as JMP interactive graphics.
