Ted Stolarczyk
Customer Success Technical Advisor

Ted Stolarczyk is a Technical Advisor on the SAS Customer Success Organization where he leads customer adoption efforts around the SAS Visual Analytics solution. He has been providing technical pre & post sales customer care support his entire career. His recent experiences include supporting software centered around Data Visualization and Business Intelligence (including the data preparation and systems administration necessary to facilitate such endeavors). Ted can showcase the latest and greatest releases of SAS’ product line in terms of overall capabilities. Or he can explain how SAS can integrate with customer’s internal business process and technology site specific requirements. He has a B.S. degree in Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration degree. He is also a SAS Certified Visual Analytics Technical Specialist.

Cheryl Coyle
Distinguished User Experience Designer, Research and Development

With more than 25 years’ experience as a User Experience Designer and Human Factors Specialist, Cheryl has designed business communication systems, computer programs for network operations centers, enterprise software for fraud detection, data visualization, and reporting, as well as mobile applications for business users. Her areas of expertise include human-computer interaction, user needs assessment, and usability testing. She has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Rutgers University, 30 publications, and two U.S. patents. Cheryl’s primary ambition is to design software that helps individuals and organizations achieve their goals.

Sierra Shell
Senior Associate User Experience Designer, Research and Development

Sierra is a User Experience Designer with five years’ experience creating, testing, and improving upon enterprise business intelligence software. As the lead designer for the Visual Analytics (VA) Viewer application, Sierra has contributed two publications to her field, conducted dozens of user interviews, and managed twelve usability studies. In addition to her work with VA, Sierra contributes to the SAS Graph team, generating new component designs and improving upon existing graphs in the areas of animation and parameterization. She strives to simplify complex features, reduce her users’ friction and frustration, and to design software which is a pleasure to use.

Alan Rezazadeh
Senior Analytics Scientist

Alan Rezazadeh has been working for more than two decades in Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto as a data analytics and governance consultant within public, oil & gas, and academia sectors. His recent engagements include Oil and Gas production optimization and predictive analytics, as well as computer vision and object detection applications. Alan earned a PhD degree in Computer Science from University of Regina in 1995 with focus on numerical analysis. His previous engagements include Husky Energy, Nexen Energy, Talisman Energy, Alberta Energy and TransCanada Pipelines.

Edgar Cabral
Manager of Risk Data Infrastructure

After obtaining his PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Alberta in 2005, Edgar started working with SAS OR (Operations Research) in Brazil. SAS provided the perfect environment for optimization projects, including Supply Chain Planning & Price Optimization, combining Forecasting with Decision Making that usually surpassed the offerings from the competition. Unfortunately, few companies take advantage of SAS OR capabilities, but he hopes to start a change with this overview of SAS OR.
