On Wednesday, July 8th the Ontario Chamber of Commerce released a report in response to the impact of rising costs of the electricity market in Ontario as it applies to employment and economic growth in the province. The objective of the report was to highlight 5 high potential recommendations for constraining future costs in the operation of the overall system. The 5th recommendation was to unlock the power of smart meter data by capitalizing on meter data analytics at a province-wide level.

While the OCC's research and recommendation is focused on smart meter data & analytics, we know that there is an increasing amount of data coming from all systems within the utility (Customer, SCADA, Outage, Maintenance, Weather, etc.) that when combined, mined and analyzed can tell us a wealth of information leading to ultimate cost savings for the entire system.

On August 13th, we will be hosting a webinar focusing on how other global utilities are taking action to better understand their enterprise data and drive incremental benefits throughout the system. We hope that you're able to join us and participate in the conversation.
