SAS & Accessibility

Webinar Date: March 7, 2016
Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Access to analytics is critical for all citizens in this 21st century knowledge economy and competitive global market for labor. The ability to derive insights from data and take action based on evidence are critical skills.  However, people with disabilities are at a disadvantage because they do not have equal access to the most common presentation of the results of analytics - rich, interactive digital charts, graphs, maps and other data visualizations. SAS is working to change that.

Please join Ed Summers, Senior Manager of Accessibility at SAS, for an interactive discussion. Ed will provide an overview of the accessibility program at SAS including motivation, priorities, process, recent progress, and future plans.

What will you learn?

This session will:

  • Review the internal standards and processes that are integrating accessibility into product development within SAS R&D
  • Demonstrate recent progress towards fully accessible data visualization
  • Demonstrate recent accessibility improvements in analytics tools
  • Review the accessibility of SAS documentation, training, and support materials

Presenter: Ed Summer, Senior Manager of Accessibility, SAS Canada
