Training Needs Analysis
The Training Needs Analysis should be the first phase in every training cycle.
Without a thorough understanding of the training needs of the customer and the goals that he would like to reach, the success of the training is put at risk. Therefore, the only way to guarantee a successful training is to define a training program that allows filling the gap between what one masters now; and what one needs to master to perform well in the future.
A sound assessment provides us with all information needed to define an adequate and specific training curriculum: contents and duration of the different courses are related not only to the objectives of the project, but also to the experience and background of the different users.
In close collaboration with your team, the training is tuned to the business and project context, to the different user profiles and skill levels.
Often a blended training curriculum will offer the highest effectiveness.
SAS always focuses on an active and practice-based way of learning, which allows students to transfer the freshly acquired knowledge into action.
The standard training curriculum is organized in the SAS training facility in Tervuren.
All courses are taught by certified SAS instructors or business experts.
This training format offers focused learning away from the office and creates the opportunity to share experiences with your peers from other organizations. Link this to the input of the trainer and you’ll find that all public courses have a tailored approach.
The courses are taught in English.
The course material is provided in English as well.
During a hands-on training all participants dispose of a pc to experiment and make exercises.
After the training, all participants have their personal copy of the course book.
Up to 90 days after the training, our instructors are at your service to provide a clear answer to all questions related to your course. Feel free to contact them by e-mail.
For most of the standard courses, SAS developed a Portal that offers links to free lectures, white papers... After the training, you will receive a key to the corresponding web-page.
On the Job Coaching after Training
One or a few days on-the-job-coaching after the training, will stimulate the transfer of what has been learned during the course to the real-life situation. It does not replace the training as you need to learn before you’re able to apply. No printed course material is foreseen as this has been delivered during the training.
What is in it for you?
What you have learned during the training will be applied to your real-life business context
You will make examples / proto-types on your data
Coaching offers the possibility to go more deeply into specific questions
All SAS teachers are holders of a valid SAS Certificate gained during a certification exam. These exams verify objectively and in a standard way if the teacher has an in-depth knowledge of the SAS system and SAS-tools.
Pedagogical and didactical skills
SAS Customer Training takes care of the pedagogical and didactical skills of the trainers as well. To that end internal meetings, train the trainer sessions… are organized.
This guarantees that SAS teachers explain the material step by step with the adequate attention for every individual.
Qfor is a quality audit that focuses specifically on training and consulting organizations and other providers of 'knowledge based services'. An organization can choose between an audit of its customers' satisfaction or an audit of the internal processes. We chose for a 'client scan' as we wanted to get a picture of our customers' perception: what do they think of our training services?
When an organization receives a Qfor-label, this means that it has been screened, with a positive result on the level of customer perception: a least 80% of the interviewed customers is satisfied.
The result of the Qfor audit, performed in the summer of 2014, of SAS Customer Training: 100% of the customers are satisfied with our training services!
It demonstrated and confirmed our customer focus, our efficient organization, the quality of our trainers and the rich course offering.
