SAS recognized as a leader for women empowerment by Forbes

Analytics leader earns spot on World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies 2021 list

Forbes magazine has deemed workplace culture champion SAS as one of the World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies. With the pandemic causing women to leave the workforce in droves, SAS knows now more than ever how important it is to attract, retain and empower women. In fact, the leader in analytics and AI currently has women representing nearly 40% of its global workforce and executive positions and a third of global management positions.

The Forbes list was compiled from an anonymous and independent survey of approximately 85,000 women in 40 countries. Respondents were asked to rate their employers’ performance on gender-related criteria and their willingness to recommend their employer to others. They were also asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries. In addition, respondents rated companies based on their corporate responsibility, marketing campaigns and public perception, as related to gender equality.

Also recently ranked as one of America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes, SAS believes workplace diversity, equity and inclusion drives innovation. Since the company’s start in 1976, women have been critical to SAS’ business growth in a historically male-dominated industry. With programs such as the Women’s Initiatives Network (WIN) and Women in Analytics Network (WIA), SAS hosts a variety of opportunities for career development and professional engagement. The company also inspires and motivates its workforce through meaningful work, including the opportunity to develop software that helps solve critical humanitarian issues like climate change, education equity, fair housing and deforestation.

Setting the workplace culture standard for more than 40 years, SAS is renowned for promoting an environment for employees to balance their careers and personal lives. In addition to on-site amenities such as a free recreation and fitness center, a free health care center and a full-service pharmacy, SAS also provides virtual offerings to offer employees support ranging from career development to mental health and physical well-being.

A constant on numerous workplace rankings, including Fortune’s Great Places to Work in the US and a World’s Best Workplace lists, SAS is also recognized as a top place to work for diversity, millennials and parents.
