The SAS Viya for Learners Challenge hosted online through Kaggle InClass is geared towards students who are looking to get into and engage with machine learning problems. Students will walk through the analytics lifecycle, which is the process of data science.
See the technology working firsthand, while learning the #1 Most Valuable Career Skill, SAS®. According to a McKinsey Global Institute Study, the shortage of data scientists and analysts could reach 250,000—by 2024.

About the Challenge

Free SAS® Viya® for Learners is a full suite of cloud-based software that supports the entire analytics life cycle – from data, to discovery, to deployment – and it also lets you code in SAS, Python or R. Hosted on Kaggle Inclass , participation is geared towards students who are looking to get into, and engage with machine learning problems.

The problem for the challenge is on a simulated data set, related to a real world business problem that might be faced. Through analysis, students will understand how to explore and pre-process data, develop and deploy machine learning models using SAS Viya.

Digital Badge

Participants get the chance to hone their skills,and receive a SAS Badge for their resume for completing the challenge.

Register your details, once done you will receive an email with further instructions on how to log onto Kaggle InClass ready to play the challenge on Monday, 19 July 2021. Don't forget to get access to SAS Viya for Learners to play the game.
