Manage disruption with AI / IoT: Balance the flow of energy and data in the modern grid
Wednesday, 17 February • 10am - 11am AEDT
In the rapidly evolving Australian energy industry, there is a need for improved decisioning and more efficient use of data as the traditional centralised energy model is disrupted by renewable energy and new technologies.
While there are clear benefits from integrating DER assets into the grid, Energy and Utility leaders are faced with technical, regulatory and business model challenges.
To help address these challenges we are facilitating a round table discussion with key senior industry stakeholders, focussing on the use of Next Generation Energy Forecasting solutions, Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Cloud computing and machine learning.
An example of cutting-edge technology we have been working on is the IoT Innovation Lab built in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Cisco which demonstrates the efficiencies and economic benefits from forecasting DER generation and its impact on the energy system.

- Data Flows are as important as Power Flows – AIoT and Edge Analytics
