SAS® Viya® for Learners Challenge

The SAS Viya for Learners Challenge hosted online through Kaggle InClass is geared towards students who are looking to get into and engage with machine learning problems. Students will walk through the analytics lifecycle, which is the process of data science.
See the technology working firsthand, while learning the #1 Most Valuable Career Skill, SAS®. According to a McKinsey Global Institute Study, the shortage of data scientists and analysts could reach 250,000—by 2024.

About the Challenge

SAS® Viya® for Learners is a full suite of cloud-based software that supports the entire analytics life cycle – from data, to discovery, to deployment – and it also lets you code in SAS, Python or R. Hosted on Kaggle Inclass , participation is geared towards students who are looking to get into, and engage with machine learning problems.

The problem for the challenge is on a simulated data set, realted to a real world business problem that might be faced. Through analysis, students will understand how to explore and pre-process data, develop and deploy machine learning models using SAS Viya.

Digital Badge

The winners and participants get a chance to hone their skills and receive a SAS Badge for their resume for completing the challenge.

Steps to participate:
Pre-register so we can grant you access to Viya for Learners within 4 days from registration. Once done you will receive an email with further details to access online resources and to log onto Kaggle to play the challenge. The challenge will begin at Monday, July 20, 2020 at 08:00 AM AEDT. 

Winner/s Announcement: Eligibility will be validated with 24hours after the finish date and time Final Leader board Awarded and announced – on Tuesday 28-July 18:00 AEDT via email from
