David Cross

David has significant experience in developing and implementing performance reporting systems which deliver insight and enable operational decision making. He has a strong background in data analysis and statistics, grounded through a training in science and further studies in business and economics. Over 7 years’ experience with large data warehouses using tools such as SAS, Oracle and SQL to deliver analytics and performance reporting.

David has worked at Bupa for 2 years as the manager of the Health Analytics team and has developed the reporting systems for the health coaching team and has experience of developing analysis and reporting for contact centres mixing operational data with health outcomes. He has experience working in the public sector through time at WorkSafe Victoria where David led the Statistical Business Analysis team and the transformation of data management and reporting procedures to significantly improve the quality and timeliness of reporting.

Significant experience in data analysis which has included the development of a predictive risk framework for occupational health and safety; evaluation frameworks for chronic disease management; segmentation of populations by health factors; performance reporting in various settings.

Natalie Mendes

Product Marketing Manager, Analytics, SAS Australia and New Zealand
Natalie Mendes is SAS Australia and New Zealand Product Marketing Manager for Analytics. Her primary efforts are centered on ensuring SAS continues to deliver market viable and industry leading business analytics offerings.

Natalie completed a bachelors in Statistics and Computer Science at Swinburne University in Melbourne in which helped obtain her first professional role as an assistant statistician at Victoria’s Country Fire Authority. From there, Natalie secured a role at ANZ Bank as a credit risk analyst, developing credit scorecards and determining the risk of a customer to repay loans. As a SAS programmer (in those days), Natalie moved industries and became a pre-sales business solutions specialist, selling leading edge SAS software and solving complex business problems for large and small businesses.
