SAS appoints Amir Sohrabi as General Manager, Gulf and Emerging Markets
New GM to drive client value, expand on business analytics track record
SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, announced the appointment of Amir Sohrabi as General Manager for the Gulf and Emerging Markets. In his new role, Sohrabi will be supporting the company’s future business direction by highlighting to its clients how SAS Technology combined with its talented resources can help create business opportunities while reducing their business risk.

Amir Sohrabi started working for SAS as the Middle East Alliances & Channel Manager in 2009, after which he was promoted to Regional Director of Alliances and Channels for Middle East, Africa and Turkey (MEAT) in 2011. Before joining SAS, Sohrabi held the position of Managing Director for Eastbanc Technologies for two years, after having previously co-founded MSPX, an IT Managed Services company based out of Arlington Virginia in 2000, which was acquired seven years later.

Sohrabi is also a firm believer in youth development and in his spare time he is an assistant coach for Emirates American Football League, Dubai Barracudas Junior Varsity team. As part of his volunteer efforts with the EAFL, he also runs the Youth Leadership Program, which focuses on teaching the youth in the community the principles of good leadership.
