Robert A. (Bob) Davis is a Principal Industry Consultant in the Supply Chain Management Solutions group at SAS Institute. From 2000 to 2013 Davis held various SAS roles in Product Management supporting Inventory Optimization and Supply Chain Cost Analysis. Prior to joining SAS, Davis worked for over 20 years with Nestle and ConAgra in their Grocery Products divisions. During that time, he helped develop best practices in account management, trade spending analysis, and replenishment planning. He received national awards for excellence in sales and business management.
While at SAS, Davis has helped SAS develop expertise in supply chain cost analysis in the fast-moving consumer products industry, inventory optimization, service parts optimization, and sales and operations planning. He is a recognized global expert in multi-echelon inventory and replenishment optimization. He has written a book on the subject of optimization titled, “Demand Driven Inventory Optimization and Replenishment” He has been featured as a speaker and writer on the topics of demand-driven supply chains and service chain processes at such events as the SAS Global Forum, Council of Logistics Management, Institute of Business Forecasting, Logicon, BetterManagement Live, Beet Fusion and Frontline's Supply Chain Week.
