Breaking silos

How are insurers in different areas of the business responding to regulatory, climate and customer pressures today? To find out, Risk.net surveyed more than 350 global insurance leaders at the C-level, business line and technology levels. The survey explored how decision makers assess risks and opportunities, how those assessments influence strategy, and how collaboration among different stakeholders shapes execution.

The results show several areas with room for improvement. One surprising finding was the number of respondents who admitted their decisions were made in isolation. And while a high percentage felt their organizations have a clear vision and strategy for future success, only 63% believe their structure, processes and technology are fully aligned to support that strategy.

Overall, the survey proves that insurers are aware of the external forces they face and their own internal shortcomings. But they see a way forward with the help of technology.
